As you add and edit pages and posts in WordPress your past revisions are going to start adding up, taking up server space and slowing down your site.

There are multiple plugins that will clean up your past revisions for you.

The one I am currently using is Better Delete Revision and so far it hasn’t destroyed anything.  Regardless of which plugin you decide to use you should use one to manage your revisions.
